Striebro naberá štatút investičného kovu

Striebro konečne začína získavať šatút viac investičného ako priemyselného kovu. A v prípade akejkoľvek veľkej geopolitickej krízy sa populácia vzhľadom na jeho nižšiu cenu viac bude prikláňať k tomuto kovu.

Finally, the GFMS survey on silver is out and the research firm has said that silver will trade more like a precious metal than an industrial metal in 2009.

The reason for this is that industrial use of the metal especially in photography, has come down drastically. This means industrial use of the metal is down and the metal has gained some more status as an investment option.

GFMS and the Silver Institute released the World Silver Survey, and talked about how investor demand drove prices above $20 an ounce in the first half of 2008.

But prices then climbed down below $9 in the fall as the global recession hit and investors worried about how that would affect industrial demand for silver.

Prices have bounced back since then as silver reaffirmed its status as a store of value.
