Venezuela chce späť svoje zlato uložené v zahraničí
Chávez chce v krajine znárodniť zlaté bane a nariadil vláde stiahnuť 211 ton zlata ($11 miliárd), ktoré má Venezuela uložené v zahraničí v inštitúciách ako Bank of England, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Barclays Plc, Standard Chartered Plc, Bank of Nova Scotia. Týmto krokom chce ochrániť krajinu od ekonomickej krízy. Venezuela má celkovo 365 ton zlata, čo ju v rebríčku držiteľov zlata radí na 15. miesto.
