Iran announced its intention to become suppliers of at least 10 percent of world gas market in the next twenty years.
Talking to reporters here, Managing director of Iran's National Gas Company Reza Kasaeizadeh said that Iran would become supplier of 10 percent of the world gas market in the next 20 years, compared with the current figure, which stands at one percent.
He said that Iran's gas export would increase when the South Pars 17, 18 and 19 phases are developed by 2013. Iran is producing 85 percent of heavy compressors and 45 percent of all turbines, he added.
He said that the US sanction on Iran is an opportunity for the domestic companies to develop and use domestic potentials. Iran ranks second in world gas reserves only behind Russia with a production of 447 million cubic meters a year
