Jadrová elektráreň v Južnej Amerike

Brazília a Argentína sa dohodli na výstavbe elektrárne, ktorá bude slúžiť obom krajinám.

Argentina and Brazil have agreed to set up a joint uranium enrichment company to build a power-generating nuclear reactor to serve both countries.

An agreement in this regard was signed here in the presence of Presidents Cristina Kirchner, of Argentina, and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, of Brazil.

The bi national holding will initially work with their own nuclear technology. Kirchner and Lula met for an hour at the Argentine presidential palace, where they discussed a series of bilateral projects and later signed agreements on nuclear and energy cooperation.

Argentina is the first South American country with a nuclear power industry. It currently boasts of two nuclear plants, with a third under construction, and exports nuclear technology.

Lula last year decided to relaunch his country's nuclear program; taking advantage, that Brazil has the sixth largest uranium reserves in the world.
