Exxon Mobil CEO Rex W. Tillerson priznáva, že cena ropy by v závislosti na dopyte a ponuky mala byť v rozmedzí US$60-70 za barel. Zvýšenie ceny nad túto úroveň spôsobujú budúce kontrakty, prostredníctvom ktorých si spoločností zabezpečujú (poisťujú) jej dodanie.
