Hyperinflácie v minulom storočí
Najväčšia hyperinflácia v minulom storočí bola v r. 1946 v Maďarsku; potom nasleduje Zimbabwe (2008), Juhoslávia (1994), Nemecko (1923), Grécko (1944) a Čína(1949).
Pokiaľ bežne je hyperinflácia spojená s enormným tlačením peňazí, Ellen Brown tvrdí, že skutočným dôvodom hyperinflácie je zámerný útok na menu krajiny zahraničnými špekulantmi a/alebo vládami.
