Bývalý britský PM T. Blair mal v Iraku o.i. aj svoje finančné záujmy. Ako poradca bol platený juhokórejskou ropnou spoločnosťou UI Energy Corporation, ktorá je jedným z najväčších ropných investorov v kurdistanskom regióne. Mimochodom, po odchode z postu PM v júni 2007 do 2009 zarobil asi £20 miliónov.
