Silver prices are likely to move in the range of $14.50 to $16.50 an ounce between May and August 2008 and thereafter it could dip to $13.75 levels.
CPM Group, a leading consultancy, releasing their 2008 Silver Year Book said silver is likely to undergo seasonal price weakness during the second and third quarters of this year although fundamental supply and demand factors are strong.
Investors have turned to silver as a hedge against political, economic, and financial risk, and they will likely buy 74.9 million ounces of silver in 2008, CPM said.
That would make for a third consecutive year that investors will be net buyers since 2005, which marked the first shift from investors being net sellers to net buyers since 1979.
