URÁN – cenové dno pravdepodobne dosiahnuté

Predpokladá sa, že koncom roka by cena uránu mala opätovne vzrásť.

Oh Bottom, Where Art Thou? That's the question RBC Capital Markets analyst Adam Schatzker is asking after the uranium spot price held at US$75 a pound this week, according to consulting companies Ux Consulting and TradeTech. That compares to a peak price of around US$140 back in the summer. He notes that trading volumes down at the US$75 level were higher than they have been in recent weeks.

"Buyers seem to be more willing to buy at current levels, but would likely rather see prices continue to fall. Sellers that were recently reluctant to sell at higher prices are being lured into selling at today's levels,"

He believes that spot market purchases are being made "opportunistically" rather than out of need. But he expects that later this year, when spot purchases are being made out of necessity, the buyers will again take their cue from the sellers and prices will rise.
