Deutsche Bank says it looks for gold to hit $2,000 in 2012 and for silver to hit $50. In its monthly commodities report, the bank says this year began with worries about precious metals due to prospects for monetary tightening.
But political unrest in the Middle East-North Africa and Japanese earthquake may cause monetary authorities to pause and prevented a more profound correction, the bank says.
