Dow na 20 000?

Jim Rogers šokoval svet predpoveďou, že DOW môže vystúpiť na hodnotu 20 000. Dolár pravdepodobne znovu nastúpi na cestu oslabovania; na druhej strane komodity zase posilňovania.

Jim Rogers shocked the world with predictions of Dow 20,000. The long time dollar bear says that the currency crisis is near and could actually push the US stock market up to unheard of highs in both the S&P and Dow, but with stocks based in a worthless currency, it will mean disaster for the US economy. For years Rogers has been touting the crash of the dollar and rise of commodities. Though he has remained bullish on commodities, he lost his shirt during the past year when the dollar strengthened as the flight to more secure assets propped it up, effectively squashing prices in oil, agriculture, gold, and other commodities. But now that the dollar has re-entered its down trend, Jim is feeling better about his contra dollar plays.

It seems unlikely that the US stock market could sky rocket under these economic circumstances, but his is a good point: as the stock market goes up so does investors appetite for risk taking money out of safe haven dollars and into more risky investments like stocks, and vise versa.
