Cena striebra môže mať v tomto roku lepší percentuálny výkon, ako zlata, tvrdí GFMS. Dôvodom rastu ceny bieleho kovu by mal byť zvýšený dopyt zo sektoru výroby plazmových TV, batérií atď. Mimochodom, v roku 2009 vzrástol investičný dopyt po striebre oproti 2008 o 90%.
