Počas uránového boomu niektorí analytici predpovedali dosiahnutie až US$1000/lb,čo bola dosť absurdná predikcia. Pre nasledujúci rok sú predpovede triezve a očakáva sa vzostup ceny o jednu tretinu.

Analysts expect the price to jump by one third next year, which will be its largest gain since the euphoria of 2006. The general expectation is that price could hit $55 next year, but the bubble days of $136 a pound do not look like they will return any time soon. Some analysts were predicting uranium at $1,000 three years ago, which is an absurd proposition.

However, taking a long-term view, uranium appears cheap at these levels. The long-term uranium price is currently at $60 a pound - and China is buying big time.
