Nadbytok ropy skončí v 2012
Podľa OS USA sa v horizonte dvoch rokov môže vytratiť nadbytok ropy a v roku 2015 by dokonca mohol vzniknúť jej veľký nedostatok. To by následne malo vážny ekonomický a politický dopad na svetovú ekonomiku, obzvlášť na rozvíjajúce sa ekonomiky Indie a Číny. Kde by v takomto prípade vystúpila cena ropy je ťažko predpovedať, avšak US$200/bl by nebolo nereálne.
The US military has warned that surplus oil production capacity could disappear within two years and there could be serious shortages by 2015 with a significant economic and political impact.
