Podľa Société Générale dosiahne cena zlata svoj vrchol pri US$1500/oz v poslednom štvrťroku 2011. Ekonomické oživenie a zníženie eco-fin rizík následne ovplyvní jeho zhodnocovanie čo spôsobí pokles jeho ceny.
The investment bank expects gold to keep trending higher until the market starts discounting a near-term normalisation of US policy rates; likely to outperform base metals in the second half of the year.
The bank holds a mildly bullish view for gold over the rest of this year, revolving around steady investment holdings, set against a gradual decline in the dollar. The final quarter of this year is expected to see gold above $1,500, but this is called as the top on the back of an improving economic recovery and the reduction of risk hedging.
